Inbound cartons are checked against your advance shipping notice, inspected for damage, scanned and photographed, then slotted within one business day. Anything that does not match is flagged in your portal.

Leggings in every size, color and length. Sets that have to match. Launches that sell out. Shipped right from Anaheim, with someone on site.
An activewear catalog multiplies fast: sizes, colors, lengths and matching tops and bottoms. OC3PL stores, picks, packs and ships it for direct-to-consumer brands, marketplaces and wholesale accounts from our fulfillment center in Anaheim, California.
Core styles every day, new colors every few weeks, and loyal customers who notice details.
Activewear brands usually run on a core set of styles that sell every day: the legging, the bra, the short, the tee. Around that core they launch new colorways and limited styles, often on a steady cadence. Customers come back for the same fit in a new color, which makes accuracy and consistency matter more than in most categories.
Demand has its own calendar. Many brands see interest rise with the new year and again into spring and summer. Some run big launches tied to campaigns or creators. Every brand is different, so plan from your own data rather than a rule of thumb.
Channels pile up quickly too. A typical activewear brand sells on its own site, often on Amazon and TikTok Shop, and to studios, gyms and boutiques. Each channel has its own rules. One inventory pool behind all of them keeps you from selling the same legging twice. Read one apparel inventory across channels.
One legging style can be dozens of SKUs. The warehouse has to treat each one as its own product.
Here is how fast an activewear catalog grows. Each row is one style, and every combination is a separate SKU with its own barcode, location and count.
| Style | Sizes | Colors | Lengths | SKUs for one style |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Legging | XS to XL (5) | 6 | 3 inseams | 90 |
| Sports bra | XS to XL (5) | 6 | one | 30 |
| Bike short | XS to XL (5) | 4 | 2 lengths | 40 |
| Tee | XS to XXL (6) | 5 | one | 30 |
Four styles, 190 SKUs, and every one of them looks a lot like its neighbor. Black leggings in three inseams are easy to mix up by eye. That is why slotting and scanning matter more here than almost anywhere.
Every style is slotted by size and color, so a picker reaching for a medium in black is not digging through a bin of mixed sizes. A new collection is slotted and ready to ship within one business day of receipt.
Every unit is scanned at the pick, so a 25-inch inseam cannot ship in place of a 28-inch one without the system catching it. For how to set up variants so this works, read size and color variants explained and high-SKU apparel fulfillment.
A set that arrives in two different blacks is a return.
Matching sets are a big part of activewear. A customer buys the bra and the legging in the same color and expects them to match exactly. Dye lots can vary, so it helps to tell us when a color has more than one production run so we can agree before receiving how each run is labeled and tracked.
There are two ways to run sets. You can sell the pieces separately and let the customer pick sizes, and we pick each piece by scan. Or you can build fixed sets ahead of time as their own SKU.
| Approach | Good when | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Pick pieces separately | Customers choose different top and bottom sizes | Every piece must be in stock in the right size at the same time |
| Kit to stock | Fixed sets, gift sets and launch bundles that sell in volume | Components are locked in finished kits and may need to be split later |
| Kit to order | Many combinations, less predictable demand | A little more work per order on busy days |
Kits can be built to stock ahead of time or to order as orders arrive. Most builds are completed within 24 to 48 hours, depending on volume. Read apparel kitting for how to choose.
Activewear fit is personal. Make exchanges easy and fast.
Customers return activewear mostly for fit. A legging that is perfect for one customer is too long for another. The brands that keep those customers are the ones that get the exchange out quickly.
Returns are processed and logged within 48 hours of receipt, and many are handled the same day. Each item is inspected and restocked, discarded or donated by the rules you set.
Inspection matters for activewear. Items are checked for wear, damage, tags and return reason. Your rules decide what is restocked, what is set aside, and whether a refund triggers on receipt or after inspection.
Monthly return reports show reasons by SKU. If one inseam keeps coming back as too short, that is a size chart fix, not a warehouse fix. Read exchanges vs refunds and why apparel gets returned.
New colors sell out in the sizes everyone wants. Get them back fast.
Activewear launches behave like small drops. A new color goes live, the core sizes sell through, and the restock decides how much of the demand you keep.
Read apparel drop fulfillment and restock fulfillment for more detail.
Folded and bagged the same way on every order.
Packing follows your own standard operating procedures for folding, bagging and packing. That includes care cards, size guides, thank-you notes, stickers and branded mailers or boxes you supply.
Activewear is light and folds small, so a right-sized poly mailer usually does the job and keeps shipping costs down. If you ship in boxes for presentation, know that box size affects what carriers charge. Read poly mailer or box for apparel? and apparel shipping costs.
One inventory pool, each channel’s rules followed.
Website orders come in through your store integration. OC3PL integrates with the platforms most brands already use, including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Amazon, and the in-house team builds a connection if one does not exist.
For Amazon, FBA prep covers FNSKU labels, poly bagging with suffocation warnings, bundling and carton prep. Most shipments are prepped and forwarded within 24 to 48 hours after receiving. Read Amazon FBA prep for apparel.
TikTok Shop sales can spike with no warning when a video takes off. Read TikTok Shop apparel fulfillment.
Studios, gyms and boutiques order wholesale. Purchase orders are reviewed and routed per retailer, with retail-compliant and GS1 labels, advance shipping notices, EDI for major retailers and palletized freight.
When a launch is live, you need an answer, not a ticket number.
Your account manager works on site at our Anaheim fulfillment center, in the same building as your inventory. When something is urgent you call and talk to a person who can walk to the shelf and fix it. Call anytime. We are here. We got you.
All client requests are acknowledged within two hours, and support is never outsourced. Weekly reporting from your account manager covers service levels, shipping costs and inventory status, so you can see which sizes are running low before they sell out. Read about on-site account management.
Activewear customers reorder. Make the second order as good as the first.
Many activewear brands run a membership, a monthly drop or a subscription box alongside one-off orders. OC3PL runs subscription boxes and drops as a distinct service, with cycle-locked shipping timed to your cadence, flexible kitting and branded packaging, and post-cycle reporting that feeds the next campaign.
For loyalty customers, consistency is the product. The same fold, the same mailer, the same care card, the same size they ordered last time. Written packing instructions with photos at the station keep it that way as volume grows.
Read subscription boxes and drops and post-purchase experience that brings customers back.
