1. You authorise the connection
An API key, a set of store credentials, or a one-click app install — whichever your platform uses. That is the whole ask.

One warehouse system. One thing from you. Live the same business day.
An integration is the connection between your store and the warehouse management system, so orders flow in automatically and tracking flows back without anyone exporting a spreadsheet. There is no manual step between a customer clicking buy and a pick ticket hitting the floor.
One thing from you. The rest is ours.
An API key, a set of store credentials, or a one-click app install — whichever your platform uses. That is the whole ask.
Mapping and SKU matching, so every product in your store resolves to the right item on the shelf. Renamed products and new variants are where mappings usually drift.
A single-item order, a multi-item order, one with an invalid address, and an international order — each confirmed to appear, fulfil, and push a tracking number back.
Direct connections are live the same business day. Connections routed through the ShipStation hub take two to three business days.
An integration is the connection between your store and the fulfillment provider’s warehouse management system, so orders flow in automatically and tracking flows back without anyone exporting a spreadsheet. It is the digital bridge that removes manual data entry, order processing delays, inventory desync, and the ceiling manual work puts on growth. It is what lets one process handle ten orders or ten thousand.
No. OC3PL integrates with the ecommerce, shipping and CRM tools most brands already use, including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Wix and Squarespace, so most brands keep the stack they have. If a platform is not on the list, the in-house team builds the connection, and those custom integrations are company funded.
The position is plain: if we do not have it, we will build it. Alongside pre-built connectors, webhooks and REST API integrations give programmatic access, and OC3PL-funded custom integrations are part of what makes switching easier. A niche cart, an ERP or an internal system can still feed orders into the warehouse. Raise the requirements early in onboarding.
When an order ships, the warehouse system deducts the units and the integration pushes the new inventory level back to your store, which is what prevents overselling. Tracking numbers and shipping confirmation travel the same route, landing in the platform that then notifies your customer.
Ask for a sandbox and run test orders through your live store using a full discount code. Cover a single-item order, a multi-item order, an order with an invalid address and an international order, then confirm each appears correctly in the portal, gets fulfilled, and pushes a tracking number back to your store. Repeat until the flow is clean.
The detail behind this, in OC3PL’s own guides.
Connecting BigCommerce to a 3PL takes a store hash and an access token from an API account. What those are, what scopes matter, and what happens after.
Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source connect to a 3PL through an Integration defined in the Commerce Admin, using OAuth 1.0a and scoped API resources.
ShipStation has a purpose-built way for a 3PL to work in your account. What a connected user is, what your orders look like on their side, and what you keep control of.
OC3PL connects to most platforms directly and also runs ShipStation as a hub. Which route suits which store, and the turnaround difference between them.
